Project Management

At Rilean, we offer full-service project management for commercial and residential building.  Our team has the skills to expertly complete all projects, including large commercial developments, high-end residential homes and eco-friendly, design-and-build homes.

For the majority of our commercial and residential clients we work through a tender process before working closely with our client and their chosen architect to make sure the project runs as efficiently as possible.

With Evolution we manage all stages of the construction process in-house, from initial ‘draw-up’ plans to handing over the keys.

To ensure the best possible outcome for our clients, we manage costings, scheduling and all parties involved in bringing the project to a timely, successful outcome.  We commit to clear and frequent channels of communication throughout, which ensures proper accountabilty.  As a long-standing member of Registered Master Builders, we offer our clients the 10-Year Guarantee as an extra assurance of peace of mind.

Quantity Surveying

At Rilean, we pride ourselves on having registered Quantity Surveyors on our team, all with many years of extensive industry experience.

Our Quantity Surveyors will handle all of the financial administration for the project, from tendering, value engineering, variations and adjustments, through to processing the final account.  Our QS team is comprised of Aaron Brown, Curtis Luff and Steve McLean, Rilean Director.  They are available to work alongside your own team, as required, to achieve the best financial outcomes for you, the client, from concept to completion.

Design-and-Build

We offer full project management from the planning and design stage right through to completion.  Adam Turoa, Sales & Contracts Manager, provides personalized attention for all types of projects, from residential to commercial.  Clients who want a full-service, stress-free program receive professional guidance through the planning stages and clear communication during the construction phase.

Safety is our number one priority on every site. We comply and keep up-to-date with all relevant Health and Safety legislation, Codes of Practice, related Standards and identified Safe Work Practices.  All our Health and Safety Management Systems are focused on making continuous improvements to our Health & Safety performance, and our independent assessments validate this endeavour.

As a leading construction company in Central Otago, Rilean is a founding member of the Central Lakes Safety Charter, whose mission is to improve construction health by promoting safe and consistent work practices.

Rilean’s committed to ongoing Health and Safety training, as a current and long-time member of Site Safe NZ Ltd - all our staff hold a valid site safe passport. All foremen hold the Site Specific Planning Passport. We require and expect all our subcontractors to be site-safe accredited (or equivalent), and this is closely monitored.

Rilean chooses to be part of the ACC’s Work Safety Management Practices programme (based on the Australian/New Zealand Standard for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems AS/NZS 4801). Rilean has been audited at tertiary status, the highest accreditation possible.

Sustainability

Rilean is committed to sustainable practice across all areas of our business. As a well-respected construction company we’ve focused for many years on minimising our environmental impact and educating peers and customers.

We’re a Member of the New Zealand Green Building Council and are working towards membership of Qualmark’s Enviro Gold mark. We adopt the guidelines of REBRI (Resource Efficiency in the Building and Related Industries). This is all about using materials, energy, time and money as efficiently as possible.

Evolution home in Gibbston Valley

Rilean designs are ‘future-proofed’ in anticipation of more stringent environmental building regulations.  In 2011, we launched Evolution, a division specializing in building energy-efficient homes. 

Evolution homes include energy efficient features as standards, not upgrades.  Increased insulation, a fully-insulated concrete subfloor, an airtight thermal envelope, renewable energy sources and superior window joinery are key components that go into our holistic approach towards building an energy-efficient home.  Evolution homes feel warmer and more comfortable while using fewer valuable resources, reducing running costs and increasing the value of the home.  

First house to receive a Homestar 6 rating in Central Otago

An Evolution home at Speargrass Flat Road was the first in Central Otago to achieve the NZGBC Homestar Six rating.
