This project brings an exciting set of challenges at the existing and iconic three-level Novotel Queenstown Lakeside.
The contract involves upgrading the existing services; lifting the existing roof, and adding an additional floor while keeping the building weathertight. So a temporary roof system was adopted to overcome the Queenstown seasonal variations.
Over two stages, the complete development will add an additional 70 rooms to three blocks.
Stage One was completed 24th May 2007 and Stage Two and Three are programmed for completion in December 2007.
Initially a tendered project, Rilean’s engagement entered into a successful negotiated phase in order to meet the project’s financial restraints.
