Meyer Residence

The Meyer Residence is set on a challenging alpine site in Queenstown. The site attracts some logistical access issues however for the owners, the views spanning the Remarkables Range, Cecil Peak, Ben Lomond and Lake Wakatipu are well worth the effort.

This is a Haden Emslie single split level design with a suspended separate stand alone street level garage at the top of the site.

Generally the walls of the house are timber framed and thermal mass walls have also been incorporated into the design.  The cladding is colorsteel with some schist features and the roof structure is high span timber with colorsteel longrun roofing.

There is a small waterway that runs through the middle of the site and through the underneath of the floor slab.

All in all this is a beautiful home which blends well into its peaceful location.
