Duncan Residence

“This Anglesea St. Residence is set on a site steeped in history. Formerly the site of the Arrowtown School, The original dry-stacked stone wall has been preserved, and the historic St. Paul’s Anglican church is visible through the foliage towards Berkshire St. The new 3 bedroom residence has been designed tastefully by local architects, Blair & Co. to stay  in keeping with the historic ambience of “old” Arrowtown, while offering all of the comforts to be expected in a quality modern home. The structure is timber frame with large areas of Stone (local Schist) Cladding and Southern Pine weatherboards. Features of particular note are the custom made, double glazed, timber windows and doors, exposed Macrocarpa trusses, and the flawless VM Zinc Roofing. Our tradesmen have paid meticulous attention to detail, as was needed to do justice to a well considered design. Along with the commitment from the owners to using only the best materials, fixtures and fittings, this has ensured that this new home is of a quality befitting this historic location.”
