'Hollywood's best' to appear at Rilean Autumn Ball
2/02/09
Local movie star wannabes will have their moment of fame during the Silver Anniversary of the Rilean Autumn Ball this year, part of the Arrowtown Autumn Festival.
Proudly supported by Rilean Construction for the fifth year running, the red carpet will be out for the ‘Silver Screen’ themed event to celebrate 25 years of autumn fun. The Ball is being held at Arrowtown’s Athenaeum Hall on 17 April.
Rilean Construction director Gary Dent said that of all the years the company had been involved in the event, this year’s Silver Anniversary was going to be a real stand out.
“We love being involved in this great community event and this year will be extra special with star studded glamour, fans, paparazzi and awards for the best dressed.
“Personally my wife and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Guests are encouraged to come along as their favourite silver screen character and Southern-style ‘Oscars’ (silver hammers provided by the Rilean crew) will be awarded to those wearing the best costumes.
Pre-dinner canapés will be followed by a gourmet banquet and dainty petit fours to finish. Suzy and the Slick Tones will be providing the entertainment with beverages available from the ’Celebrity’ cash bar.
The Rilean Autumn Ball starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available from the Lakes District Museum. Tickets are $65 single, or $60 per person for tables of ten or more. Each table will be named after one of the great movie houses.
